A Trifle Absurd
Matthew Morgan’s software notions
About Matthew Morgan
I’m a software developer living in Seattle. I like to think I’m a well-rounded person, but this site sure doesn’t show it: here it’s all about computers—mainly programming languages, usability, and Mac application development.
My back story in brief: I grew up in Oregon, Colorado, and Idaho, headed down to Texas to attend Rice, then moved to Seattle in 1995, where I’ve lived since. I worked at Microsoft for five years, mostly on Office 97 and MacOffice 98. My all-geek all-the-time lifestyle caught up with me, though: I burned out, quit, and took a multiyear break from programming.
That break granted me some needed perspective and balance, and (to my initial surprise) that led me back to programming again. I spent a while working on personal projects, but finally decided that I’d rather be in a team environment than sitting alone in my basement. So I joined Google.
